Looking for (2) more Amateur Jai alai Board of Directors Members

Thanks to a few dedicated people we now only need 2 more members. Much progress has been made and I hope that the momentum keeps going.

Buildings like 15 Research Drive in Milford, Connecticut can be put up around the country.

www.visionappraisal.com

No one is defeated until they have accepted defeat as a reality in his own mind.

Skepticism and fear is something that we should not allow to dominate weather or not Jai-alai survives.

Failure to make a move because you are skeptical is fear of the unknown. Even if it's the wrong decision,at least you have made a dicision which gives you an opprotunity to see the wrongness in that discison so that you can correct it and move on.

But, by doing nothing we know what the outcome is FAILURE!

This is to clear up that Amateur Jai-alai,LLC is not going to open the doors in Jan. 2010. We still need 2 more members and are still working on our business plan before we spend a dime. In the meantime we would like for you to come and leave more of you comments http://sportales.com/sports/extreme-sports-2/ which some of you have already done, and we thank you for that.

Here shortly we will be posting some of the feedback on our sites for the rest of you to view as they come in from the survey.

We are aware of that steve, and are working on coming up with a solution to finding a building to renovate to put another court up. The information here on the site about 15 Research Dr. in Milford was for the information of those that had never seen the build or know or knew anything about it.

Glad to see that you found this site. It has been a great place for people to communicate about Jai-alai in general. Please keep check here on the site from time to time and join in on the conversation a lot of good is coming from it and we have Christian to thank for it.

Keep the faith

Update:

3 board meetings and things are starting to take on a life of there own in a positive direction. Still a lot of work to do, but progress is being made. Forming a Marketing team here on this site is not a bad ideal to get reach the youth, and build a core base that should had been done years ago.

The target areas should be in the cities and towns that once housed Jai-alai or still have operational Frontons up and running. I still say that Benny is on the right track by maketing the sport like he is doing down there in Florida to the youth is what is going to save the sport in the long run.

So, how would Art say it Promote, Promote, Promote.

We are making progress thanks to Ricky, Authur, Tiger, Myself, Chris, and Christian. Good work guys and I hope that we can get that message out that we are serious about saving the sport.

http://prideandpower.web.officelive.com Check it out still underconstruction and can use any help that we can get to help develop it. Contact Ricky with any suggestions that you have regarding the new site.

You guys need some kind of direction.......nobody knows where the court is going to be, what size court, ect, ect.

I think the people that are being skeptical are just trying to help. Its easy to be falsely positive, and be a "yes man" of sorts. In my businesses I surrond myself with people that are constantly questioning my motives, not people that are going to kiss my ass and just allow me to make mistakes. People pay consulting firms alot of money to point out the flaws in their business plans. Don't confuse skepticism and fear, its two different emotions. I agree you guys should be fearless, and I think if you were to get this off the ground it would be great for jai alai.

There are alot more people that can help but you haven't laid out anything - a budget, a plan, a city...not really anything substancial that would ease any skepticium, high cesta and good luck.

I like the layout of your site BTW.

Point well taken HOV and you are right, and thank you for pointing that out. That is one of the reasons that I'm glad Matt clarified himself in one of his earlier postings so not to mislead people.

Part of one of the reasons for us not showing everything is we don't want to get the hopes of people up and not delever on what we say, so that is one of the reasons that myself, Ricky, and Chris have not talked about a location just as of yet. Want to narrow things down a little more before, we anounce that we have a location and the shovel is ready to start breaking ground.

Thanks and point well taken!

Keep the faith

We welcome that. But the Bullcrap posts that are so vague and non informational. Stop the Mental Manufactoring . PLEASE

One thing for sure is that we have peoples attention, and with that maybe something good will come from all of this. Communication is key to getting things moving, and I would like to thank Cory the kid for his commments even if I don't agree with him. My feelings are that there is a lot going on that most of us may not be aware of, and for those oof us that can see things unfolding, can see that if given enough time things will iron themselves out.

Keep the faith and Thanks Christain, Ricky, Tiger and Arthur for all the hard work that you guys are doing on the sites.

Why not release the business plan or the budget for this venture?

We don't want to get peoples hopes up until we have most of our ducks in line, so that we don't give that false hope. There is a location that we are looking at in Windsor that is an existing Athletic Facility with a plan to build the courts on to that facility, and I will just leave it at that for now as far as the location.

Matt is starting to think that working with myself, Ricky and Chirst might be the way to go, and he plans to attend the meeting on Monday. We love the input from anyone that has our vision of putting up a facility and Welcome any suggestions on how to get it done.

i understand that this is not a one man band, and that is the reason that I set out to get a group of us toghether to make it happen, guys that play, former professionals, and fans that have been around the game for years. I don't have all the answers, but one thing for sure I know that the answers are out there in the Jai-alai community we just have to find them. Everything that we need is there, the professionalism, money, expertise, marketing everything. Its just a matter of finding the right group of guys that want to see the game survive, and do what is needed to make it happen.

But at the same time the 3 of us don't have all the answers and don't want to give that false hope that one will be built tomorrow, becuase the reality is that it will not be built tomorrow, but working with the right people and keep chipping away at it, we might see something start to come in to reality within the next year or so unless one of us becomes financially wealthy by hitting the lotto.

Take care and have a nice holiday.

HOV;

thought that I would toss you a line and let you know that the meeting last night went well. We had almost 10 peopele from the local area that showed up to set in on the meeting. With that being said that is a good thing, it shows that the word is getting out.

Matt was one of the people in attendence last night, and gave a presentation on some of the stuff that he is working on and other details that I won't go into. Matt will unvail the details when he feels he needs to. At the end of the day we agreeded to disagree on how things should move forward.

One thing was clear, is that he came to the meeting to ask for help in moving things forward. So, to update you there is progress being made and I thought that I would toss you a line to let you know that. People that I think are businessminded and have an interest in whats going on up here I like to keep them informed.

Have a good holiday, and I will toss you updates from time to time.

By the way HOV when you have a chance take the first of maybe 5 surveys that we are conducting to see if there is in fact support to spent the money to put this project together http://prideandpower.web.officelive.com/default.aspx once we have put some of the data together I plan to have Ricky post it on the site, and I will post something on here.
